Vale John Parsell (1939 ~ 2020)

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our good friend and colleague John Parsell in the early hours of this morning.

John had been battling cancer over the last six months or so and finally succumbed to this insidious disease.

John has been a sincere friend and operator at Tas Maritime for the last 18 years and was highly regarded as a very competent and professional operator. Nothing flustered John; he calmly dealt with many distress situations over the years during his Friday 1500 – 1900 shift. His commitment to Tas Martime was absolute; he rarely missed a shift in all that time.

It was a pleasure to work with John and he will be sorely missed. Our sincere condolences go out to John's wife Trish and his family.
