The online TasRep Transit Form which follows this page enables you to advise Tas Maritime Radio of any extended voyages you may take which would warrant us maintaining details of your trip in Tas Maritime Radio's database in case the unforseen happens and you require assistance (the "service").
You should advise us if your trip includes:
•
ocean voyages such as across the Tasman Sea or Bass Strait;
•
extended coastal voyages;
•
or if you would like us to track your trip.
You can submit the Transit Form online with your information being automatically entered into Tas Maritime Radio's TasRep database. If you are unable to submit the form yourself, ask a friend or family member to do it for you. While Tas Maritime will accept your booking by phone or radio, it is much easier for you to do it yourself here: This also helps keep our radio and phones as free as possible in case a distress situation arises.
By using this service you are entering a contract with TSMRG Pty Ltd operating as
Tas Maritime Radio ("Tas Maritime Radio"). Tas Maritime Radio provides the service
in consideration of you agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

6. | Tas Maritime Radio will attempt to contact your vessel if it has not heard from you for more than 36 hours to ensure that you are ok and that it has your most recent location (apart from Stopovers - see Clause 7). Notwithstanding that, you agree that Tas Maritime Radio is not obliged to contact you at any time and may not contact you if you are overdue. It is your responsibility to contact Tas Maritime Radio if you are in a situation of distress.
7. | You agree to advise Tas Maritime Radio when you are stopping over at any location for a period longer than 24 hours during which stopover you do not need to provide position reports until you move again.

9. | You agree that if any liability does arise from Tas Maritime Radio or any person connected with the provision of the service to you, by agreeing to these terms and conditions you are releasing and discharging Tas Maritime Radio and any person connected with the provision of the service from that liability.
10. | You acknowledge that sea voyages are inherently dangerous recreational activities that involve certain obvious risks.
11. | You agree to read and abide by the guidelines which you read on the previous page.
12. | You acknowledge that as the service is provided free of charge the consideration you provide for the service is by agreeing to these terms and conditions and that the service is only provided on that basis.
